The ASF400 screw press sustainably reduces maintenance requirements and operating costs
The ASF400 screw press significantly reduces the workload on the team and eases the strain on the budget
Runs almost without supervision
Ever since the ASF400 screw press has been in operation, things have become much easier for us. This modern technology requires almost no supervision, because its design prevents debris from slipping through into the Outlet. This frees up valuable time for our employees to focus on other tasks, while operating costs have dropped significantly.
Budget Relief and Landfill Costs
In addition, the press dewater the separated screenings directly during discharge. The solids fall directly into the collection bin with very low residual moisture. This reduces our landfill costs because we have to transport significantly less weight.
Screw press outperforms drum screening
Things looked quite different before the changeover: We used to use a drum screen to remove plastic debris and fine suspended solids from the wastewater. Over time, this system required an enormous amount of effort. As soon as the drum’s sealing rings wore out or the scraper no longer made a tight seal, debris would slip into the treated water. On top of that, heavy sludge would settle in the inlet basin. Staff had to spend a significant amount of time inspecting the system every day to prevent clogs.
Quick Return on Investment
Today, the entire team looks back on the decision with complete satisfaction. The screw press has proven itself in daily operation and makes the work noticeably easier—something no one would want to do without in their day-to-day work.
